Oh man, what a week! Today we check out the creative powerhouse that is Affinity Designer, and make some simple case changes with Text Case. How about a brand-new update to the Moment photo app? Not enough? Then perhaps you’ll be satisfied with… Parametric Equalizer!
Text Case is just about the easiest way to change the case of any text on your iOS device. Just highlight it, tap the share arrow, then pick Text Case from the list. A popover panel appears inside the current app, with all of the conversions listed. Just tap the one you want to copy to the clipboard, and the panel disappears. It’s so simple, and so fast.

From the developer of Affinity Photo comes Affinity Designer, another port of an existing Mac app, that brings a desktop-class vector app to the iPad. Affinity Designer uses Metal to edit smooth and fast vector art on the iPAd’s touch screen. Like too many pro-style apps, this one borrows a little too much from the desktop — fiddly icons, and way too many fly-out menus, but it looks seriously powerful. Here’s a another picture:

Moment, the company behind our favorite iPhone lenses, released an update to its iPhone camera app. This is a brand new redesign of the old app, and offers full manual photo control — exposure, focus, and ISO — as well as support for shooting RAW and TIFF, a live histogram to help with exposure, and various options to help you focus. Bonus — if you have a Moment lens case, you can get a free upgrade to the pro version, usually $ 2.99.

GarageBand has an amazing built-in Visual EQ tool, and Ngo Minh Ngoc’s Parametric Equalizer is a version of that that can be used in any iOS music app — including GarageBand. Parametric Equalizer is an AUv3 plugin, and can work inside many iOS music apps. To adjust the EQ, you just tap and drag on the line, adding and subtracting gain from whatever frequencies you like. You can shelf the bass and boos the usual vocal frequencies, for example. It even supports automation in Cubasis, which is pretty rad.
