For PlayStation VR owners, July and the start of August are looking to be bumper months for content releases, with Fantastic Contraption, SUPERHOT VR and Archangel having launched, whilst Theseus, Tiny Trax, Smashbox Arena, Dino Frontier and CastleStorm VR are all due out very soon. As if those weren’t enough, adding to the list is Heroes of the Seven Seas, due for release next week.
Originally launched on Samsung Gear VR last year, Heroes of the Seven Seas comes from Chinese developer Mirage Interactive and sets players out on a pirating adventure.
Set in the 16th century, the story revolves around seeking the legendary Seven Sea Artifacts. As they head out into the wide open oceans to discover the treasure players will encounter the British navy, other pirates, and monsters from the darkest part of the deep as they endeavour to claim their prize.
To help you on your travels you’ll need to dock at ports to trade with merchants on different islands, whilst unlocking various options available to enhance the capabilities of your ship, whether that’s improving the hull, sails, or broadside guns. These will all help you take on bigger ships, monsters and anything else that stands in your way.
Heroes of the Seven Seas will arrive for PlayStation VR on 25th July 2017 via the PlayStation.Store.
