Amazon inadvertently confirms upcoming NVIDIA Shield TV Pro

There have been many rumors, sustained by technical documentation, which confirm NVIDIA is working on a brand new Shield TV. Today, a listing for an unannounced NVIDIA Shield TV Pro went live on Amazon, but pre-orders were briefly available as the retailer quickly removed the device from its website.Spotted by 9to5Google, the listing confirms the new NVIDIA Shield TV Pro will be launched on October 28, but we expect it to be unveiled slightly earlier. Also, it will not be more expensive than the current model, so you’ll still be able to get it for $ 200.

The only differences between the upcoming model and the current one are the more powerful Tegra X1+ processor that comes packed inside the NVIDIA Shield TV Pro, as well as the more solid remote.

Apart from that, the new NVIDIA Shield TV Pro includes 3GB RAM and 16GB storage, just like the current model. The only thing that’s unclear is whether or not the Android TV box will ship with Google’s new Android 10 or the previous version of the operating system.
